Privacy notice

Last updated: October 15, 2026.

Hello Aristotle is operated by Sydney Liu. We provide practical AI learning and training. This notice describes how we handle personal information collected through this website, session requests, and related communications. For privacy questions, contact sydney@helloaristotle.com.

Personal information we collect

When you request a session, we collect your name, email address, and any task or message you choose to share, plus your company or the fact that you are working independently. The full request form also asks for team size, whether the session is for you or your team, and an optional phone number. We record whether you choose to receive email updates and the wording of that choice.

Our hosting and security providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and security-check results to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Please avoid including passwords, confidential client material, payment details, or sensitive personal information in your message.

Tracking and other technologies

On our public website, Google Analytics 4 runs by default for visits identified as coming from the United States and New Zealand. You can turn it off at any time through “Privacy choices” in the footer. Outside these countries, or when the region is unknown, it loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” A saved opt-out, Global Privacy Control, or Do Not Track keeps Analytics off. Cloudflare uses the request’s country to apply this setting; we do not save a location history for this check. Analytics records one page view on eligible published pages and two interaction events: a successful session request and clicking to open the booking calendar. Private and unpublished pages, including /resources/your-setup/, are excluded. Page locations use the public site origin and path only; query strings and fragments are omitted, the referrer is blank, and the page title is fixed. No form entries such as your name, email address, company, or message are included in Analytics. Enhanced Measurement, Google Signals, user-provided data collection, ads personalization, and granular location and device data collection are disabled. Google Analytics user- and event-level data retention is set to two months, with “reset on new activity” off. That setting does not control standard aggregated reports. Google Analytics may still process general technical visit information, including browser/device information and approximate location. We do not use advertising pixels or session replay. Cloudflare provides hosting and a security check on the request form. Our cookie notice explains these technologies and your controls. Turning Analytics off does not affect access to resources, forms, or booking.

How we use your information

Requesting a session does not subscribe you to marketing. The optional newsletter checkbox is unchecked by default. If you subscribe, you may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe instructions in an email or contacting us. You can still receive replies and essential messages about services you requested.

AI tips and Starter Library signup

The AI tips invitation on our homepage and articles uses the same confirmation process as the Starter Library. Choosing “Send me AI tips + the free pack” requests the AI Starter Pack and occasional practical AI emails when we start sending them. We record the invitation as the signup source and the exact consent wording shown. Closing it does not subscribe you.

Selecting “Send me the setup prompt + AI tips” requests the setup prompt and signs you up for occasional AI tips and resources when we start sending them. We first send a confirmation email. Only after you select its confirmation button do we mark the subscription confirmed and send the guided setup prompt; opening the link alone does not change your status. The prompt is also shown on the page after confirmation. The AI Starter Library remains publicly available. We store confirmed signups privately for future emails; no newsletter campaign is running. If we later use a newsletter provider, we will transfer only current eligible subscribers and the consent records needed to honor their choices, and update this notice.

Retention

We retain personal information for the purposes for which we collected it, including responding to inquiries, providing services, documenting consent, honoring opt-outs, and meeting legal or accounting requirements. We consider the sensitivity of the information, whether a relationship is ongoing, and the risk of keeping it longer than necessary. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or isolate it from further use where immediate deletion is not possible.

We keep a limited record of an unsubscribe request to avoid contacting you again. Withdrawing newsletter consent does not require us to erase records that we need for another legitimate purpose.

Pending and confirmed subscriber records include your email address, signup page, consent wording and version, signup and confirmation times, status, and the delivery metadata and hashed tokens needed to operate the confirmation and prompt flow. Unconfirmed records are deleted seven days after the 24-hour confirmation period expires. When you opt out, we remove the raw email address, request and delivery metadata, and token hashes from the subscriber record. We retain a minimal suppression record under a keyed hash of the address, containing the consent wording and version, consent and confirmation times, opt-out time, and status so we can honor the opt-out. Confirmed subscriber records and these minimal suppression records currently have no automatic deletion limit. We retain them only while needed for the stated purpose, review whether the original consent is still current before starting future newsletters, and act on deletion requests.

How we share your information

We use service providers to operate the website and respond to you: Cloudflare for hosting and form security, Resend for delivering request emails, signup confirmation and prompt emails, and Google for email and scheduling. Sanity manages website content; inquiry details are not stored in the public content database. Providers receive the information needed for their roles.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, authorities where required by law, or parties to a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not use form submissions to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your information, withdraw marketing consent, or raise a concern by emailing sydney@helloaristotle.com. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request is yours. An authorized agent may contact us on your behalf; we may verify their authority.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, or appeal of a denied request. We will explain a denial where required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Other sites and services

Choosing a booking time opens Google’s calendar service, which has its own privacy terms. Links to other websites do not give us control over their data practices. Review their notices before sharing information.

Security

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, restricted access, form validation, and abuse controls. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

International visitors

We primarily serve people in the United States and may occasionally work with people elsewhere. Service providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. Applicable rights and transfer requirements depend on the circumstances.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, Sydney Liu is the controller for the processing described here. We use information to take requested steps toward a service or provide it; rely on legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and securing our services where those interests are not overridden by your rights; comply with legal obligations; and rely on consent for optional email marketing and analytics. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

This website and its session-request forms are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes and contact

We will update this notice when our practices change and provide further notice where required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to Sydney Liu at sydney@helloaristotle.com.
